bcoe is johnny...and people have complained to us about captchas coming up when they are trying to heal, but i have never heard anything about them not showing up at all.

As far as I can tell, that's what has been happening to me on occasion.... everything stops, totally, except for chat. Most times when I give up and log out, and log back in, there's a captcha window waiting there.

To the developers -

Sorry geckotoss and johnny_heart, I could've sworn that MANY players have mentioned the "CAPTCHA Bug".

Basically what happens is you get locked out of doing anything (from a CAPTCHA). Normally you just enter the number and it's back to normal but the CAPTCHA will sometimes get bugged and completely lock you out without even being displayed....almost as if the CAPTCHA will lock itself from being displayed. When you log out, and back in a lovely CAPTCHA is waiting for you...

Since you guys fixed the CAPTCHA's images not being dumped, it seems to happen more often.

Captha experience

(Everything in game)I thought the reason was that the captcha tried to appear but in the same moment I click a window which becomes top most window - and hides the captcha this way..
In may cases the reason why nothing works is either a serious lag OR a captcha which hides behind a window. It's hard to distinguish between the two and easy to blame a lag everytime.

So just minimize all your windows everytime it "lags". It might be just a hidden captcha.

But I dont like them at all.. I fail too often because I cant distinguish between a '3' and an '8'. And because they are action driven they appear in bad situations. Can't they happen for example 10 seconds after the current event by just adding a 10 seconds timer?

I thought the same thing but,

I actually have to close the game window ("logout") and relog to find the CAPTCHA....
