Chat Overhaul

First off, please shoot me for making the title that.

Next, I'd really appreciate some form of /me functionality, as many things are lost without being able to emote. And come on. Even the IRC can handle /me. (at least, with Chatzilla, it can ^^)

Third, making the friends list actually do something useful in the whisper department would be nice...

like yer a /me option would be sweet !!

also scripting techniques would be sweet on it like use your chat as a console!

like say you write up a script "say" bot like behavior ,

you could put in the chat /trigerwatch 11 [or /run watch{11}

also like a ping option /ping 074.084.1.209

see if that user is active...

it would be nice just to implement a console type of style to it

cause when i login the chat is like odd to the game

yer dif colours would be sweet and having bold /italic but that is just a design feature

the more you make the chat involved in the game the more realistic things would get

also a drag across bar for it so you can minimize the chat but still have it on the page and allow for space..

giving users a moderator status like someone you can trust to maintain a good flow of chating on ere

as you know some people used to come in and just blabber bullshit..

maybe a /ban blah blah 2 days kinda thing
kinda would rock my world if you could take any of these ideas and put them into the game :!!

like irc, it'd be nice to have the ability to /list channels and the ability to hide channels. So people can just jump from channel to channel and lurk in hopes someone will drop some info they shouldn't. Also the ability to hide channels is so that you can keep yourself off the list if say you and your buddy are working pretty hard on a script you don't want to share.

and yea the /ban option would be spectacular.

Please, i really need an option to turn off the damn autoscroll in the chat windows! Currently my client tends to freeze when I resize the chat window, but without resizing theres not much to see than 5 lines of chat! Impossible to follow a discussion this way. And especially if every new entry in the chat makes it impossible to scroll through the previous chatteer!

It may not be as important to the gameplay as you want it to be, but sure enough /me adds to the fun factor. I'm sure most people would make use of it, a lot.

I put my vote in the /me for a chat upgrade, /ban would also make my ears bleed less, and help combat the baldness I sometimes experience.

As for the /ban, would that effect just that channel, all of them or then entire game...

/me wants to be able to jump for joy that others revived his ancient request and also really like it, but there is no /me functionality for him to be able to do that. The Jelly flops back into a corner of the room, moping quietly to himself. He reminds you somewhat of Marvin from Hitchhiker's Guide.
