As far as I can tell, Twitter is a new tool designed to prevent the sorts of in-depth intelligent conversation promoted so wonderfully by the blogging phenomenon... I weep for the future of humanity. This having been said, as a fast-paced, often AWOL developer, Twitter seems like an ideal way to keep in-touch with the community....

For instance, when I'm off working on a top-secret update to HackWars that will cause many of the players' heads to explode when they see it.

So, want to keep up-to-date with what I'm doing? Subscribe to my Twitter page. Any of the other devs who create one I'm sure will post it here too I'm sure, as my word is law!

I read about twitter in wikipedia and one sentence catched my eye
The Twitter API itself allows the integration of Twitter with other web services and applications.
Do you plan to involve twitter in HW like sendFacebookMessage() ?

I think this is a very good idea, Twitter seems more naturally suited for HackWars than Facebook was.

Yea with twitter, you can have extensions in Firefox that show you your twits/make twits so that if your online but not on Hackwars, if you get a twitter saying you've been hacked or whatever, you can log on immediately and dominate them!

Thread Bump

Just wanted to bump this thread in order to catch the eyes of some new players who may not know about the Hackwar's twitter community, besides what is displayed on the right side of the site. It may be worth looking into. Often times you'll get sneak peeks into what's currently being developed and sometimes there may also be polls to voice your opinion on a new feature that may be included.
