glitching screen

i keep getting screen failing with graphics as such if you look at the
website here http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll132/flatener123/weird.jpg and http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll132/flatener123/weird1.jpg
and the last one was just taken after i logged in!! so no actions where taken!! this happens all the time no matter what i do!

And why does that

And why does that happen?
Which actions do you do before this occurs?

let the guessing begin

Next time it will be easier if you use the "Add new comment".

Mmh.. I think I see WinXP. Right click on the java symbol in the systray (the rightmost part of the taskbar) and choose show console.

I expect that it will show a lot off excptions. Maybe those are helpful. (Look out for your IP in the log)

Your Windows fails to update/repaint parts of the display after changes. Usually that happens when the system is under heavy stress (then it usually repairs itself within seconds), the program (here Java) thought it coul do it better (if it would be Java then a lot more wouldhave this trouble), a much modded system which introduced conflicts.

For now I would assume that your system has some trouble and I have nerver heard of something like your case before so all I could do is guessing (and still missing the real problem)...

Very little RAM (less than 256MB)? defect RAM?
Old graphic card? (Maybe it has too little Video RAM
Outdated graphic card driver or beta driver?
Defect graphic card or CPU?
You are using a tool which watches the temparature - does it control your fans too (maybe it got too hot in the past)? Do you or did you overclock your PC (in the past)?
Do you reset/shutdown your system rarely? Or always use hibernate or standby instead?

Is your CPU working a lot without proper reason ( => real virus )?

Bad java installation?
Does one of the tools which runs in the background interfere?

Similar Problem

Didn't Zip or someone else have a similar problem a while ago? I remember seeing someone post similar screen shots a while back.

Yep, one of those posts is

Yep, one of those posts is mine, had the same problem. Its your graphics card. You'll have to find a driver that doesnt glitch. For a while, i had to use one for HW, and another one for gaming. Annoying, but worked.
