HackWars is owned and operated by Frightening Bear.

For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes no information regarding the domain or e-mail address.

We collect the e-mail addresses of those who post messages to our bulletin board, the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, the e-mail addresses of those who make postings to our chat areas, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations.

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page, used to customize the content and/or layout of our page for each individual visitor, used to notify consumers about updates to our Web site.

With respect to cookies: We use cookies to store visitors preferences, record session information, such as items that consumers add to their shopping cart, and ensure that visitors are not repeatedly sent the same banner ads.

Terms of Use

Do not signup for an account if you are under the age of 13. We are not liable for any information that is collected on individuals under the age of 13, as it is not our policy to allow individuals under this age to use our software products.

All content on hackwars.net and in the game HackWars (unless specificed otherwise) is the property of Frightening Bear. A user of HackWars should not:

  • Use "real world hacking" against HackWars game, website or players. This includes 'hacking' into other players' accounts. THIS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!
  • Purposely and/or maliciously modify the HackWars client that we provide to a user.
  • Take advantage of any known or unknown exploits on the HackWars website or in the HackWars game or pertaining to HackWars.
  • Copy, or reproduce, any of the content on the HackWars website, or in the HackWars game without direct permission.
  • Create multiple accounts.
  • Share your account information with ANYONE!
  • Use public chat channels for arguments, "flaming" and/or other such messages that may disrupt normal public communications.
  • Use chat, or in-game messages, to send offensive messages between players. THIS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!
  • Use chat, or in-game messages, to excessively chat about controversial topics that include (but are not limited to): racial slurs and comments, sexist comments, excessive swearing, religious preaching, drug and alcohol abuse and ANYTHING that any other player(s) may find offensive.
  • Use any means, in HackWars or on the HackWars site, to purposely and excessively harass players. THIS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!
  • Impersonate a Developer (Dev) and/or Game Moderator (Mod). This includes notifying someone of a possible ban/mute regardless of it's validity. Even if it is just a joke - THIS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!
  • Use a client compiled from source to connect to the live server without explicit permission from a developer
  • Use a third party application to affect gameplay

We reserve the right to suspend and/or delete the accounts of any users who violate these policies and/or are under suspicion of violating these policies; with or without proof and/or warning.

HackWars is provided as is, and updates are made on a regular basis, we make no guarantees as to the game's functionality.

This terms of use policy is a work in progress, we reserve the right to modify it at a future date. Users will be contacted via announcements on the website when these revisions take place. An attempt will be made to contact users regarding changes, however there may be changes without notice.
