In HackWars every domain name ends with ".hw". You can get your own domain name by upgrading to a premium account. Domain names can be used instead of IP addresses in the in-game browser. They cannot be used as target of attacks/scans/redirects/functions which require IPs as parameters/bounties. Those need an IP address.

Unlike in the real world there is no easy way to get the IP of a domain name. A possible way is by checking the website content of that domain name with the website content of every IP.
