All the hardware in hackwars determines the power of your system and how much it can run at any one time. There are several pieces of hardware that can be upgraded to increase the power and capacity of your computer system.

CPU
The CPU is the most important piece of hardware in your computer. Every application, watch, or firewall that a player installs takes a certain portion of CPU load. As a player levels up they can purchase better CPUs to allow them to run more applications simultaneously. You start the game with a CPU that only has 50 CPU points and will finally end up with a CPU that has 300 points. Upgrading this should be one of the first things you do.
Memory
Your Memory determines the maximum number of ports you can have open and the number of watches you can have running at any one time. By purchasing better memory, a player has more ports to install applications on. When you start, you only have 8 ports to install applications on.
Hard Drive
Your Hard Drive determines the maximum amount of files you can hold on your system (this includes your Store and Public directories). The better the HDD is, the more files you can store. As you level up, you can purchase better Hard Drives to increase the amount of space available.
PCI & AGP Cards

PCI & AGP Cards are hardware upgrades for your computer. They can be purchased from both the Store, and player stores in HackWars. You can also get them by hacking NPC FTP ports. They provide you with small increases (or decreases) in system attributes, such as extra CPU points or extra file capacity. Equiping such cards onto your system will allow these changes to take effect.
