deletion of HTTP Bot by werty

why did you delete the page about the bot? - wertyuiop408

short answer: because someone cleared the content.
I am sorry that I didn't give more info in my edit. I recognized the article right when it was created and I had my issues with it but in the end I did not change anything. When my RSS feed popped up and showed the clearance I chose to remove the article completely. I do not know who the anon ip is. From my point of view this topic is not banned and still in the gray/unclear/unsolved area it used to be since the disabling of the timer function.

IMO you could of just undone the removal (looks like a European IP too), i did ask ttj before i posted it, he wasnt thrilled. but said he wouldnt delete it and i agreed i would if someone chose to put it on the script pages or it got immensely popular with edits. wertyuiop408
True, I could have but I didn't. I didn't want to leave it in that blank state as it was and so I did something. Please give me a few (three) days to ask the active devs about it.
The IP is a north american one (see the map of the internet or use the appropiate tools) but that does not necessarily mean anything useful. Silverlight 18:46, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

only uses can make/edit pages

Maybe you should make it so only users with registered accounts can make edits to pages (will help reduce some spam). - wertyuiop408 {02/01/2011}

Would require help of the devs. ttj helped me when the captcha was installed. Not that much of a problem but I prefer to clear and block anon ip edits than closing spam account edits. ;) Silverlight 19:59, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
